Superintendent Geoffrey Stirrup has been the Pastor of the Dominion Church of God in Christ for over 30 years. He has been the Supt. of the San Antonio District for over 27 years and is the Chairman of the Superintendent's Board for the Texas Southwest Jurisdiction. Supt. Stirrup was also recently elected as the Vice-Chairman of the Community of Churches for Social Action (CCSA), an ecumenical group of local churches in San Antonio that is comprised of over 50 pastors. He has held many different positions within the Jurisdiction to include the Chairman of the Auxiliaries in Ministry and the Chairman of the Program Committee. Supt. Stirrup has served as the Jurisdictional Financial Expeditor for over 13 year. He is a member of the Trustee Board of the Texas Southwest Jurisdiction and currently aides Bishop S.E. Iglehart as one of his Administrative Assistants.
He received his Business Degree from Miami Dade College and Florida State Univ. and his Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Continuing his education, he completed his Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia Univ. and in 2011 graduated from Oral Roberts Univ. with a Master's of Divinity. Supt. Stirrup served as an educator for over 20 years, while also leading the Anderson Temple church family in a building campaign that resulted in the fruition of the now Dominion Church of God in Christ. He has been married to First Lady Margarette Stirrup for over 36 years. He is the father of five children and grandfather of three.
